Ifugao province has been hit with P14.6-million worth of damage to crops, affecting 684 farmers after heavy rains triggered flash floods and mudslides in Banaue town on 7 July.,A report from the Department of Agriculture (DA) on Sunday morning, 10 July, said production volume loss of 728 metric tons (MT) and 198 hectares of agricultural areas have been recorded in the province.,Badly damaged were rice and high-value crops.,The DA said these numbers are subject to validation as field reports are still ongoing in the Regional Field Offices (RFOs).,Officials said they will continuously coordinate with concerned and related offices to have a complete picture of the damage, and identify available resources for immediate assistance to affected residents.,The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), meanwhile, initially reported that around 1,500 individuals or 500 families were affected by flash floods that ravaged six barangays across Banaue.
