A new video shows the three stars behind the infamous Sanderson Sisters reacting to Hocus Pocus 2‘s trailer. The long-awaited sequel to the 1993 Halloween cult classic will finally land on Disney+ this fall. The original film focused on the trio of mischievous witches known as the Sanderson Sisters, portrayed by Bette Midler (Winifred), Kathy Najimy (Mary), and Sarah Jessica Parker (Sarah). When the siblings are inadvertently awakened by a teenage boy, they wreak havoc in Salem, Massachusetts as they attempt to capture several young children so they can stay young forever.,Hocus Pocus 2 is set 29 years later in present day Salem. On Halloween, three high school students – newcomers Becca (Whitney Peak), Cassie (Lilia Buckingham), and Izzy (Belissa Escobedo) – light the Black Flame Candle during a ritual and accidentally awaken the Sanderson Sisters once again. A recent trailer for Hocus Pocus 2 gave fans their first look at the witches’ return and the teenagers who resurrected them. Rounding out the cast of Hocus Pocus 2 is The Afterparty‘s Sam Richardson, Veep‘s Tony Hale, and Ted Lasso‘s Hannah Waddingham as an unknown witch character. Stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Ginger Minj, Kornbread Jeté, and Kahmora Hall, have also been announced as drag queens who will impersonate the Sanderson Sisters in the sequel.,Related: Hocus Pocus 2’s Trailer Spell Hints It’s Replacing An Original Character,In a recent video shared by Walt Disney Studios, Midler, Najimy, and Parker reunite to watch the first trailer for their upcoming film, Hocus Pocus 2. The trio appear overjoyed by the trailer, pointing out key moments to each other despite being charmingly confused by who said certain lines. Check out the new trailer reaction below.,Click here to view the original video on YouTube.,The cast clearly seem elated by the Hocus Pocus 2 teaser trailer. Midler appears especially proud of the film’s tagline, “Some legends never die.” Her recognition of the tagline is apt as the Sanderson Sisters have become legends in many households due to the original Hocus Pocus‘ three-decade rise in popularity because of its practically ritualistic Halloween broadcasts. While the stars’ returns have garnered much fanfare, it is unfortunate that several others from the original movie won’t be back, including Jason Marsden (as Thackery Binx) and Thora Birch (as Dani).,Although the initial trailer was a short teaser which only briefly offered a glimpse at the Sanderson Sisters’ returns, it was more than enough to excite the Hocus Pocus 2 stars for the film’s upcoming release. Midler, Najimy, and Parker’s chemistry in the reaction video, as well as in the trailer itself, further shows that the stars have seamlessly slipped back into their roles as the popular Salem witches. Audiences can finally experience their long-awaited return when Hocus Pocus 2 hits Disney+ this September.,Next: Hocus Pocus 2’s Trailer Perfectly Sets Up Its Best Scene,Source: Walt Disney Studios
