The Office of the Vice President (OVP) is set to move to a new location in Mandaluyong City, Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio’s spokesperson announced on Saturday.,“The new location will be able to accommodate all the co-term, casual, and permanent employees of the OVP,” said lawyer Reynold Munsayac in a message to reporters.,Munsayac said the OVP particularly chose Mandaluyong City because “all the OVP employees” are living nearby the said city.,,“This will enhance efficiency, economy, and result in streamlined processes since all the OVP employees are within the same area,” he said.,“The new location will also be more accessible to the public due to its proximity to major roads and mass transportation facilities,” he added.,The OVP also expressed its thanks to Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and the local government of Quezon City for accommodating their request to use the Quezon City Reception House.,“Unfortunately, after inspection and human resource inventory, OVP has decided to look for another location that can fully satisfy its requirements,” said Munsayac.,Duterte-Carpio, who will concurrently serve as Education Secretary, will also hold office at the Department of Education Central Office in Pasig City.
