The Righteous Gemstones season 3 has officially started production. The HBO dark comedy series follows widower and megachurch leader Dr. Eli Gemstone (John Goodman) and the antics of his three children, Kelvin (Adam Devine), Judi (Edi Patterson), and Jesse (Danny McBride). The megachurch industry satire show was created by McBride, who also co-created the HBO series Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals with his fellow Righteous Gemstones star Jody Hill.,Now, HBO has announced thatThe Righteous Gemstones season 3 has officially begun production. HBO posted a photo to Twitter with the announcement, showcasing the backs of the Gemstone children, who are facing an audience of thousands as they grace the Gemstone Salvation Center’s stage. Besides its series regulars, The Righteous Gemstones has also gifted viewers with some incredible guest appearances from Macaulay Culkin, Dermot Mulroney, Jason Schwartzman, Eric André, and Eric Roberts. McBride and Hill both act as executive producers on the hit HBO series alongside David Gordon Green, John Carrier, Jeff Fradley, and Brandon James.
