The first looks at Bumblebee and Optimus Primal in the upcoming film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has found its way online. Announced in June 2021, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to be a sequel to the 2018 film Bumblebee and will have a time jump to the 1990s. The movie will feature classic characters from the Beast Wars incarnation of the Transformers franchise, including the different factions of the Maximals, the Predacons, and the Terrorcons.,Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed 2) and has cast Anthony Ramos (In The Heights) and Dominique Fishback (Judas and the Black Messiah) in the lead roles. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime voice actor Peter Cullen is confirmed to reprise his iconic role. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was originally slated for release on June 24, 2022, but was later delayed almost a whole year to June 9, 2023. While the film is still a year away, it feels appropriate that artwork for some of the main robots was revealed on what would have been close to Rise of the Beasts‘ original release date.,
,Allspark.com, a fan-run website dedicated to Transformers news, posted a photo of some promotional artwork and merchandise for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts on their site and social media. The artwork features Bumblebee and Optimus Primal, leaders of the Maximals factions. Notably, Bumblebee appears to have Camaro parts on him, similar to his depiction in the original film series. Meanwhile, Optimus Primal maintains his gorilla fur as his alternate form is a gorilla in the original Beast Wars line. See the promotional artwork down below.,Click here to see the post on Twitter,Given Optimus Primal’s status as a fan-favorite character from the original Beast Wars run, it makes a certain amount of sense that Paramount would want to feature the character prominently in the Rise of the Beasts‘ promotional materials. The filmmakers have already cast Ron Perlman to voice Optimus Primal in the film, and so far he is the only new Transformers character to have a confirmed voice actor. What will be interesting is how the marketing department will make it clear to general audiences that Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal are two different characters.,Transformers: Rise of the Beasts wrapped filming in October 2021, and while it is over a year away from release, there is still a chance that the marketing campaign could begin soon. The first Transformers film released its teaser trailer a whole year in advance, attached to screenings of 2006’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen didn’t release a trailer until February 2009 during the Super Bowl, just four months before its release date. With the fifteenth anniversary of the release of the first live-action Transformers coming up, it might be the perfect time for Paramount Pictures to give audiences their first official look at Transformers: Rise of the Beasts., ,Source: Allspark.com
